14th Production Design Awards Winner

British Film Designers Guild’s 14th Production Design Awards

The British Film Designers Guild (BFDG) held a black tie dinner gala at The Royal Lancaster Hotel, London on Saturday, 22nd February to announce the winners of its 14th Production Design Awards. The audience of over 400 BFDG members, industry creatives and sponsors were part of the ceremony, hosted by the charismatic film critic and radio presenter Mark Kermode. 

The 15 categories included film, television, commercials, a new category for music video as well as special awards to individuals for Outstanding Contribution to the Art Department and Lifetime Achievement.

Wicked triumphed yet again, adding the BFDG award for Best Production Design, Major Motion Picture Fantasy to recent accolades from BAFTA, The Critics Choice Awards and the ADG (Art Directors Guild of America). Conclave picked up the Best Production Design, Feature Film Contemporary and Fantasy award following its BAFTA wins for Best British Film and Best Film.

In the television categories awards went to The Gentlemen and House of the Dragon, Season 2

In the new category celebrating Best Production Design for a Music Video Sabrina Carpenter: Taste was the winner.  In other categories the Planet Positive Award, was presented to the Art Department of My Lady Jane for using innovative and sustainable building and construction practices. And in the Best Production Design – Commercial category, the creative team behind the John Lewis Christmas advert The Window were awarded for their work.”
