Say hello to our latest partner: Compagnie du Costume
La Compagnie du Costume was created in September 2000.
Their first design workshop had an initial stock of a thousand pieces that fitted into 100 m². But they quickly expanded through the purchase of costume funds and workshop production, which produces unique pieces or small series.
In 2008, the purchase of premises in Garges lès Gonesse gave Compagnie du Costume the necessary infrastructure to work on major projects, both for rental and manufacturing.
The purchase of the Costumes and Costume company’s stock in March 2012 positioned La Compagnie du Costume among the leading European rental companies.
The increase in stock and the development of the workshop led to a move to Saint Ouen, on the outskirts of Paris.
Today, the Compagnie du Costume has several warehouses with add up to a space of 8000m² – including 5000m² of storage of costumes and accessories which equals approximately more than 2 million pieces.
This stocks covers the entire history of costumes from prehistory to the present day and beyond…
The attention paid to the arrangement, sorting and storage of costume collections, the restoration and maintenance of stock items, the research, purchase and study of documentation allows the Costume Company to constantly renew itself.
The Costume Company employs 21 people. These people from different backgrounds and horizons share their passions for fashion, costumes, and costume history.
